To make submitting DNA samples as convenient as possible, SRG has established a network of drop-off points across Northern Ireland.
Once you have collected your DNA samples (pink vials), simply place them in the pre-addressed envelope provided by your tag supplier. Envelopes will be pink or will have a pink address label.
These may be returned by tracked postage to ensure the samples reach the laboratory safely. Alternatively, you can drop your samples off free of charge at one of SRG’s designated drop-off points, including participating veterinary practices, Fane Valley stores and Joseph Walls stores. This service is available for all tag types.
In addition, Countryside Services are providing a number of drop-off points for their clients only.
Samples will then be collected from the drop off points and sent to the laboratory for processing.
Please note that this service is for genotyping samples only; BVD samples should continue to be submitted to the various testing laboratories using the white envelopes provided by your tag supplier.
Before you send off your samples
Please ensure that:
- Only genotyping samples (pink vials) are included; do NOT include any BVD samples (white vials) in the pink envelope.
- Samples are securely packaged to avoid damage during transport.
